Rail Boost Puts Chhattisgarh on a Faster Growth Track
New Delhi, Sep 24: Indian Railways has completed a key section of the Dallirajhara-Rowghat new railway line in Chhattisgarh, strengthening rail connectivity in the state and creating new opportunities for industrial growth, logistics and regional trade.
The newly completed 17.5-km Taroki-Rowghat section is part of the 95-km Dallirajhara-Rowghat railway project. The section has been developed as a single-line electrified broad-gauge route, with the Commission of Railway Safety completing the required inspection and speed trial.
The completion is particularly important for Chhattisgarh’s industrial economy because the railway line is expected to improve the movement of iron ore to the Bhilai Steel Plant.
