Jackie Shroff Marks World Environment Week, Urges Youth to Plant Trees for a Greener Future at Mitti Ki Awaaz

During the ongoing World Environment Week, Jackie Shroff fueled his long-standing environmental vision with Mitti Ki Awaaz, an initiative that carries the actor’s vision by actively involving the youth. The second edition of Mitti Ki Awaaz was held at DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, where the actor not only promoted a greener future, but also promoted his upcoming film, The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman – a one-of-a-kind spectacle that also expanded his vision of a greener future. The film delivers a message to painstakingly protect and preserve our planet and everything in it.

“The responsibility of a greener future belongs to the youth. and ‘tomorrow’ must be shaped with them. The youth of today has to be aware of the environment they are living in – and Mitti Ki Awaaz brings an initiative that actively involves the younger faces, not just talks to them,” believes Jackie Shroff.

Through Mitti Ki Awaaz, the aim is to make the event reflect the message, with multiple eco-friendly and low-waste measures being taken in planning and production. The event sees students as collaborators, volunteers and active participants in shaping the motive. The event and initiative organisers are also joining hands with Heartfulness to support the initiative through sapling plantation drives, ensuring that the dialogue translates into significant environmental action.

Rooted, participative and action-oriented, Mitti Ki Awaaz is shaping up to be the beginning of a youth-led movement.
