CIMP Welcomes PGDM 2026–28 Batch with Inspiring Orientation Programme

Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) organized an inspiring Orientation Programme to welcome the PGDM 2026-28, the newly admitted students to its flagship management programmes. The programme provided an opportunity for the students to familiarize themselves with the institute’s academic ecosystem, values, and culture while motivating them to embark on their management journey with confidence, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sunil Kumar, Associate Dean (Academics), CIMP, who introduced the students to the institute’s academic philosophy and learning environment. Encouraging them to make the most of their two-year journey at CIMP, he emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between academics, extracurricular activities, physical well-being, financial awareness, and social engagement. He urged students to actively participate in classroom discussions, case studies, research projects, seminars, conferences, and campus activities to ensure holistic development. Highlighting the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, he advised students to leverage AI as a powerful learning aid while ensuring that it complements, rather than replaces, critical thinking, creativity, and independent analysis. He further encouraged them to strengthen their communication and leadership skills through practical exposure and wished them a successful academic journey and a bright professional future.
Welcoming the new batch, Prof. Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, urged the students to embrace every opportunity for learning and personal growth. He remarked that today’s students are entering the era of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and advanced technologies, where adaptability, innovation, and continuous learning will define future success. Reflecting on Bihar’s rich intellectual heritage, he reminded the students that they are studying in the land of Lord Buddha, who gave the message of enlightenment, and Aryabhata, who gifted the world the concept of zero. He encouraged them to contribute meaningfully to the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 through knowledge, innovation, and responsible leadership.
Prof. Singh also highlighted CIMP’s growing contribution to management case writing, research, and experiential learning, encouraging students to actively engage in academic and research activities. Inspiring the students with the immortal lines of Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar’s poem “Jisne Na Kabhi Aaram Kiya…”, he emphasized that success belongs to those who remain dedicated, disciplined, and relentless in their pursuit of excellence. He further encouraged students to take initiative, reminding them that every great achievement begins with the courage to take the first step. Advising them to focus on academics while actively participating in seminars, conferences, research, global learning opportunities, and extracurricular activities, he urged them to develop into competent management professionals and responsible future leaders.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Vivek Kumar Singh,IAS, (Rtd.) Chairman RERA, Bihar delivered an inspiring address, motivating the students to pursue excellence in every aspect of life. Quoting the famous words of Walt Disney, “Whatever you do, do it well,” he emphasized that excellence is achieved through sincerity, commitment, and consistency rather than shortcuts. Stressing the importance of self-belief and institutional pride, he encouraged the students to believe in themselves, believe in the institution they have chosen, and believe in the place where they are learning, assuring them that with dedication, perseverance, and confidence in their abilities, they would undoubtedly reach the pinnacle of success. He urged them to remain curious, embrace challenges with optimism, continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills, and strive to become competent professionals capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
Throughout the programme, the speakers emphasized the importance of integrating technological advancements with human values and ethical leadership. Students were encouraged to participate actively in research, innovation, case studies, industry interactions, seminars, conferences, and extracurricular activities to ensure their holistic development. The speakers reiterated that qualities such as integrity, discipline, teamwork, effective communication, leadership, and lifelong learning would play a vital role in shaping successful management professionals.
The Orientation Programme concluded with an engaging interactive session, where students enthusiastically interacted with the speakers and gained valuable insights into the opportunities and expectations that await them at CIMP. The programme ended on an inspiring note, with the dignitaries extending their best wishes to the incoming batch for a fulfilling academic journey and a successful professional career.
