Rohit Varier Elevated to Executive Director at Deloitte

June 8 : Deloitte South Asia’s leader for corporate and marketing communications, Rohit Varier, has been elevated to the position of Executive DirectorRohit recently announced the elevation on LinkedIn. The appointment marks a Partner-level leadership role within a Big Four consulting firm.

Deloitte Elevates Rohit Varier to Executive Director

Rohit has been with Deloitte for eight years and brings over two decades of experience in building, protecting and scaling brands in complex, high-growth and highly scrutinised environments. Prior to joining Deloitte, he spent over a decade with various PR firms, advising client communications across industries including Big Four firms, technology, automobiles, FMCG, aviation, finance, infrastructure and energy.

 
Commenting on Rohit’s LinkedIn post, Romal Shetty, CEO, Deloitte South Asia, said,

The elevation comes as Deloitte sharpens its growth ambitions in India, with a renewed emphasis on scaling its market presence and deepening impact across sectors. His appointment is seen as a recognition of the increasingly critical role communications plays in navigating a volatile and uncertain operating environment.
In his new role, Rohit will focus on aligning business, marketing and communications objectives into clear, growth-oriented narratives, while effectively orchestrating diverse stakeholders.
 
While announcing the elevation, Rohit said in his LinkedIn post:
“PR and Communications gave me a front-row seat to business, leadership, reputation building, public affairs, media, and countless stories. It opened doors I never knew existed and introduced me to some of the most remarkable people I have met. For that, my first thank you goes to the profession itself.”
Rohit brings deep expertise across brand and marketing communications, media and digital strategy, product and platform launches, leadership positioning, as well as issues and crisis communications.
 
In his post, he further added:
“As a Mass Media graduate, I could never have imagined building a career at the no.1 professional services firm in the world. Deloitte gave me the space to build, experiment, challenge conventions, and contribute beyond the boundaries of a traditional communications role.”
