Oscar Piastri Auctions 2024 Senna Tribute Helmet for Charity

11th June 2024 – F1 Authentics – the home of official F1 memorabilia, run by UKbased memorabilia specialist and manufacturer, Memento Exclusives under licence with F1® – will host a special auction on its online platform, in partnership with McLaren F1 Team driver, Oscar Piastri.

The helmet was worn by the Australian during the prestigious Monte Carlo event. Piastri claimed his best result of the season on the Sunday, with a 2nd place – at the location where three-time World Champion Ayrton Senna was deemed by many as the ‘Master’. The helmet pays tribute to the legend, who is considered one of the best F1 drivers of all time.

The helmet has also been signed by Piastri, making it an even more exclusive piece of memorabilia.

All proceeds of this auction will be donated to the charity – the Instituto Ayrton Senna, founded by his family. His sister Viviane Senna is the president of the charity – which was formed in November 1994. The Instituto Ayrton Senna works towards supporting children and their education in Brazil – where the Senna family are from.

McLaren F1 Team driver Oscar Piastri commented:

“It was an honour to drive at Monaco in a Senna-inspired helmet and pay tribute to such a role model. With six wins there, he was iconic at that track and I’m glad that I was able to have a successful weekend racing in his colours.

“I’m very happy that I’m able to support the great work that the Instituto Ayrton Senna does in providing opportunities and transforming lives and I hope that the proceeds from the helmet can help such a great cause.”

Barry Gough, CEO & Founder of F1 Authentics and Memento Exclusives commented:

“We are proud to be supporting such an incredible cause with the auction of Oscar Piastri’s special helmet. This incredible piece not only serves as a tribute to the late F1 legend but was also worn by Piastri in Monte Carlo. A fantastic item of memorabilia that will help raise important funds for the charity.”

The auction will be live on F1 Authentics from 10th June and will close on 27th June with collectors able to place their bids for the chance to make this exceptional piece of memorabilia theirs.
