Mahanagar Gas Limited’s ‘Dial Before Dig’ Initiative to help Control Gas Pipeline Damages
04 June 2024, Mumbai: Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) urges the public to support its “MGL Sahayogi” initiative to prevent damage to gas pipelines during ongoing digging activities in Mumbai and surrounding areas. The ‘Dial before Dig’ program encourages people to report to Mahanagar Gas Limited any planned digging activities observed in their vicinity, helping to avert accidental pipeline damage, gas leaks, disruption of gas supply to houses and CNG stations potential safety hazards.
By notifying Mahanagar Gas Limited before excavation, the community can help safeguard the gas network thereby ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to houses and ensure public safety.
