The strong performance underlines the company’s sustained growth trajectory and strong customer acceptance of its evolving product portfolio.

During the first six months of 2026, Kia India dispatched 1,63,749 units, its strongest-ever first-half performance, registering a 15.2% year-on-year growth compared with 1,42,139 units during the corresponding period last year.
The milestone reflects Kia India‘s continued focus on delivering products that closely align with evolving customer preferences. Backed by a balanced portfolio spanning compact SUVs, mid-size SUVs, recreational vehicles and electric mobility solutions, the company has continued to strengthen its position across key high-growth segments of the Indian passenger vehicle market. The performance also highlights the growing consumer preference for technology-led, feature-rich and premium mobility solutions that have become synonymous with the Kia brand.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Atul Sood, Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing said,
“Closing the first half of the year at a record high with best–ever June sales is a significant milestone for Kia India and reflects the trust customers continue to place in our brand. This performance has been driven by the sustained demand for the new Seltos, Sonet as well as Carens Clavis, while MY26 Syros has also received an encouraging response from customers. It is particularly gratifying to see existing Kia customers upgrading to the New Seltos, reaffirming the strength of our product proposition. The Clavis EV continues to witness positive customer response, supported by favourable government policies promoting EV adoption and our recently introduced Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. As we move into the second half of the year, we remain committed to delivering innovative mobility solutions, enriching the ownership experience and driving sustainable growth.”
Building on the strong legacy of one of India‘s most successful mid-size SUVs, the new Seltos has further strengthened its leadership in the segment through its bold design, advanced connected technologies and enhanced safety package, backed by its 5-star Bharat NCAP rating- India‘s highest-scoring ICE vehicle to date.
The Sonet continued to maintain its position as one of the key contributors in Kia India‘s growth by delivering consistent sales. Carens and Clavis further complemented the company’s growth by catering to evolving family mobility requirements and lifestyle-oriented customers, enabling Kia to broaden its customer base across multiple segments. The MY26 Kia Syros has also received a positive customer response, driven by its enhanced value proposition and improved accessibility.
Kia‘s long-term vision of offering multiple mobility solutions also continued to gain traction with the Clavis EV, which has also witnessed strong growth. The model reinforces Kia India‘s commitment to accelerating the transition towards sustainable mobility by making premium electric vehicle technology more accessible to Indian customers.
