BCL CMD Yatish Kumar received ‘CMD Leadership Award’ at Governance Now 8th PSU Awards

Ms. Kiran Bedi, former Governor, Puducherry praised Mr. Kumar for his contribution while presenting the award at a virtual ceremony held yesterday.

Kolkata: A Government of India Undertaking, Braithwaite & Company Limited’s Chairman & Managing Director Shri Yatish Kumar received ‘CMD Leadership Award’ at the Governance Now 8th PSU Awards held on 29th July 2021. PSU Governance Now was organised by Shri Adhikari Brothers and the Award ceremony was held virtually. Among the other recipients of the Award, there were CMDS / CEOS from “Maharatna”, “Navaratna”, “Miniratna” and “Other” Category PSUS.

Shri Yatish Kumar since his assumption of charge as CMD of BCL in May 2018, has taken various HR oriented steps that enabled the employees and boost their motivation and morale and took the company ahead for success. Shri Kumar has introduced various HR measures like HR Audit, latest Pay Scale Revision of workers and staffs, introduction of health insurance scheme, Safety campaigns and measures, development of workplace and office infrastructure etc.

Under the able leadership of Shri Kumar, the company has also evolved financially and productivity has improved by leaps and bounds and is set to achieve a turnaround of around Rs. 650 crores in the financial year 2019-20 as compared to Rs 130 crores in 2017-18.

Braithwaite & Co. Limited awaits many more achievements and accolades under the dynamic leadership of Shri Kumar as CMD of the organization.
