Arnya RealEstates Fund Advisors appoints Vishal Gupta as Chief Investment Officer to lead Commercial Real Estate Strategy

Mumbai, 28 September 2026: Arnya Real Estates Fund Advisors (“Arnya”), an institutional real estate investment manager, today announced the appointment of Vishal Gupta as Chief Investment Officer (CIO), where he will lead the firm’s commercial real estate investment platform.

Vishal will spearhead the firm’s commercial real estate investment strategy, marking Arnya’s expansion into the asset class and complementing its existing residential strategies across debt, preferred capital and equity.

He joins as one of three CIOs at Arnya, each responsible for a distinct investment strategy or asset class. The CIO-led structure reflects the firm’s broader ambition to build a full-stack, multi-product real estate asset management platform, with specialised investment leadership across asset classes and the real estate capital stack.

Vishal Gupta joins Arnya from ICICI Prudential AMC, where he spent 13 years of his 20-year career with the ICICI Group. A Chartered Accountant, he brings two decades of experience across real estate private equity and asset management, spanning investment strategy, transaction execution, portfolio management and the full investment lifecycle. During his career, Vishal has led commercial real estate transactions aggregating more than ₹5,000 crore and has managed a fund through its investment and exit cycle.

India’s commercial real estate market has emerged as an increasingly institutional asset class, supported by sustained occupier demand, expanding Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and a growing preference for high-quality Grade A office assets. Grade A office leasing across India’s top seven cities reached 71.5 million sq ft in 2025, up 6% year-on-year, while leasing remained strong at 35.7 million sq ft in the first half of 2026. GCCs alone accounted for 16.6 million sq ft, or 46% of Grade A office uptake, during H1 2026. The increasing participation of institutional investors and REITs, alongside the growth of operational office assets, is further strengthening the institutionalisation of the sector and creating opportunities across core, core-plus and value-add strategies.

Sharad Mittal, Founder & CEO, Arnya RealEstates Fund Advisors, said:“Commercial real estate is an important focus area as we continue to build and diversify Arnya’s investment platform. Vishal and I have known each other for over two decades and have had the opportunity to work together in the past. I have seen his depth of experience and understanding of the real estate investment business over the years and believe his experience will be valuable as we establish our commercial real estate platform. We are excited to have him lead this initiative and look forward to the opportunities ahead.”

Vishal Gupta, Chief Investment Officer, Arnya RealEstates Fund Advisors, said:“Commercial real estate is increasingly becoming an institutional asset class, with opportunities to create value through disciplined underwriting, active asset management and strong execution. The evolution of the sector, particularly the growing opportunity across core and core-plus assets, presents an attractive avenue for long-term institutional capital. I am excited to join Arnya and lead its commercial real estate strategy, with a focus on building a differentiated platform and creating long-term value across the asset class.”

Vishal’s appointment marks the launch of Arnya’s dedicated commercial real estate platform and strengthens the firm’s specialist investment capabilities. The strategy will form an important pillar of Arnya’s broader ambition to build a diversified, institutional real estate investment management business across asset classes and investment strategies.
