Scaler’s New 12-Month PGP in Business and AI: A ₹50 Cr Investment for Future Leaders

Bengaluru, Dec 01: Scaler, India’s leading tech education platform, today announced the launch of its PGP in Business & AI, a 12-month, online, master’s certificate program designed to prepare management professionals for business critical roles in an increasingly technology- and AI-driven world. To accelerate its development and ensure nationwide reach, Scaler will invest INR 50 Crore over the next two years to scale the programme, strengthen industry partnerships, and deepen applied learning infrastructure.

The newly launched PGP in Business & AI represents an evolution from a traditional MBA orientation to an upskilling-first, tech-integrated management programme. The curriculum blends core management foundations with technology awareness and applied AI concepts, enabling learners to make better, faster, and more data-led decisions. The 12-month programme is entirely online, with in-person immersions.

Earlier this year, the GMAC Prospective Students Survey 2025 reported a sharp rise in expectations from management programmes: 46% of prospective MBA candidates now consider AI “essential” in graduate management education, up from 40% in 2023 and just 29% in 2022. At the same time, while the MBA remains the most sought-after credential globally, the report highlights a significant surge in interest in specialised, skills-focused business master’s programmes, particularly among pre-experience learners and professionals aged 30 or older. Yet, despite this shift in learner expectations, 16% of business schools still report no AI integration in their curriculum, underscoring a growing mismatch between what professionals need and what traditional programmes offer. Reinforcing this, the more recent GMAC Application Trends Survey shows that global MBA applications rose by 7% in 2025, reflecting demand for digital, analytical and strategic capabilities. In India, the employability of MBA graduates has jumped from 47% in 2021 to 78% in 2025, mainly driven by industry preference for managers who combine strong business fundamentals with digital and AI fluency. Together, these insights reveal a clear market gap: professionals increasingly seek practical, industry-applied, AI-powered management education, while traditional programmes are slow to adapt. Scaler’s new PGP in Business & AI has been designed precisely to address this gap.

“The definition of a management leader has undergone a seismic shift. Today’s leaders must pair strong business fundamentals with fluency in data, technology, and AI-led decision-making,” said Abhimanyu Saxena, co-founder of Scaler and InterviewBit. “That’s why we are committing INR 50 Crores to this initiative. We see this as a pivotal national need, and we are investing to build the calibre of leadership India’s future demands.”

Scaler’s PGP in Business & AI begins with a two-month foundation phase covering core management principles and basics of structural thinking, data analysis, research, business communications, business quant, supply chain and logistics. Learners then progress into a four-month management mastery phase, exploring in depth key concepts such as operations, strategy, finance, marketing, team management, economics and operations. This is succeeded by a 1-month AI foundation which teaches how modern AI works – transformers, embeddings, reasoning – and how to use it safely and reliably in real tasks. This is followed by a three-month AI & Digital Specialisation that integrates applied AI concepts across product management, strategy, operations, marketing and commercial finance. The programme culminates in a two-month major capstone – an applied industry project sourced from Scaler’s enterprise partners, where learners tackle real business challenges in areas such as GTM, digital operations, customer intelligence and commercial strategy.

The programme stands out for its focus on practical, future-ready management education that integrates technology and AI at every stage. Learners benefit from applied, industry-focused instruction supported by Scaler’s AI-powered learning assistant, global case studies and live sessions with leaders from top organisations. Through weekly real-world assignments, decision labs, simulations and a capstone project, participants build a strong portfolio that demonstrates real capability. Career acceleration is built into the experience, with access to seasoned mentors across domains, curated founder and industry networks, demo days, and AI-enabled mock interviews that prepare learners for management roles.

With part-time and modular management program formats growing 5% in global enrollments (AMBA–BGA Report, 2025) and AI integration becoming a baseline expectation in management education, industry data shows a clear shift: the future of management learning is flexible, applied, digital-first, and AI-led. Scaler’s PGP in Business & AI aligns squarely with this trend, offering a contemporary alternative to traditional management programs for India’s evolving workforce. The programme is ideal for early to experienced professionals aiming to move into management or leadership roles, including tech talent seeking strategic fluency and corporate managers navigating digital transformation. It also suits startup founders building tech-led or AI-enabled businesses.
