The 5th Edition Of Techno Olympica Knights Concludes With A Grand Celebration

Kolkata, Dec 19: Techno India Group, the largest private education group in Eastern India, concluded the 5th edition of Techno Olympica Knights with a vibrant and memorable closing ceremony, celebrating athletic excellence, sportsmanship and youthful determination.

The closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms Sayani Das, a talented young swimmer known for her discipline, speed and remarkable dedication to the sport. Sayani Das has earned widespread acclaim for her remarkable achievements, highlighted by receiving the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award in 2024 from the President of India for her exceptional open-water swimming feats, including becoming the first Indian woman to successfully cross the North Channel. Her honors also include the West Bengal government’s Khelashri Award (2018), a Governor’s Award of Excellence, Khel Samman West Bengal Government, Sera Banglai ABP group, Calcutta Chamber of Commerce Sports Excellence Award and the Mother Teresa International Award. These recognitions celebrate her success in conquering some of the world’s most challenging swims—such as the English Channel, Molokai Channel, Cook Strait, and North Channel—as part of the prestigious Oceans Seven challenge. Along with her Mr Debashis Sen, IAS (Retd)., Mr Rumman Dastgir, Consul, U.S. Consulate General, Kolkata, Mr Meghdhut Roychowdhury, Founder, Make Calcutta Relevant Again & Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group and Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group were present for the closing ceremony. 

The 5th edition of Techno Olympica Knights witnessed enthusiastic participation from 3,200+ students across 148 schools in West Bengal, reflecting the growing importance of sports in holistic education. The event brought together young athletes who competed across a wide range of sporting disciplines, showcasing talent, discipline, teamwork, and an indomitable competitive spirit. This edition of Techno Olympica Knights stands as the brainchild and cherished dream of Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, a vision that is steadily coming to life through TOK, inspiring young minds to pursue excellence both on and off the field.

The enthusiasm among students has been overwhelming, with many already excitedly planning for the 6th edition. We are delighted to have Ms Sayani Das, Swimmer as the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony. Her presence and achievements serve as a powerful inspiration for our young athletes.
