Rare Benetton F1 Showpiece from Schumacher Era Up for Grabs

April 8, 2025:  F1® Authentics – run by Memento Exclusives under licence of Formula 1® – is hosting an exciting auction of a rare Benetton Show Car. The B190B was originally made famous in 1991 by three-time World Champion, Nelson Piquet, and Roberto Moreno, but this specific Show Car is particularly special, as it features bespoke Michael Schumacher detailing – celebrating the future seven-time World Champion joining the team that same year.

The Benetton B190B was an evolution of the B190 that previously raced in 1990, winning the Japanese and Australian Grands Prix. Designed to refine the aerodynamics which would blend with the power of the Ford HBA4 engine, the B190B proved its competitiveness in the season opener in Phoenix, United States, when Nelson Piquet finished on the podium in third. However, the B190B was short lived, being replaced after only its second race by the B191, the first “nose-up” car for the team.

Only being seen twice across the F1® grid, despite achieving a podium finish, has only added to the legacy and unique heritage of the B190B. Defined by its distinctive green, blue and yellow Camel-liveried design, the car perfectly encapsulates the bold early 90s style of F1® engineering.

Today, the story of the car lives on through this authentic reproduction, crafted to embody the original, making it the ultimate centrepiece for fans and collectors wishing to own a moment of a bygone era.

The legendary twist of bespoke Michael Schumacher detailing adds further scarcity and uniqueness to this very show car. Schumacher joined Benetton part way through the season, racing for the final six Grands Prix in 1991. He went on to win his first two World Championships with the team in 1994 and 1995.

This iconic Benetton B190B Show Car is now live for a limited time on the F1® Authentics Auction , closing on 22nd April 2025. Collectors can head to f1authentics.com now to place their bids and become the proud owner of this historic moment in motorsport.
