Bengal Super League Flags Off Bengal Trophy Tour Ahead of Its Inaugural Season Starting 14th DecemberKolkata, Dec 08th:  As Bengal gears up for the first-ever Bengal Super League (BSL), the excitement is set to travel beyond Kolkata. In the run-up to the league’s 14th December, 2025 kick-off, BSL is launching a Bengal Trophy Tour, taking the coveted trophy to fans across some of the region’s most passionate football centres.

The Trophy Tour begins today at Canning, marking the start of a multi-city celebration of Bengal’s football culture. Over the coming days, the trophy will travel through Barrackpore, Howrah, Medinipur, Burdwan, Durgapur, Shantiniketan, Tarapith, Baharampur, Siliguri and Malda, giving fans a chance to experience the spirit of the league before the season begins. The tour will feature public showcases at key city hotspots, fan interactions with former national footballers, bringing communities together in celebration of the sport.

“Bengal has always been the heartbeat of Indian football. Taking the trophy to the people who live and breathe the game felt essential as we prepare for our very first season. This tour is our tribute to the fans, a way of ensuring they feel connected to the league from day one.” said Mr Rahul Todi, Managing Director, Shrachi Sports.

The Trophy Tour aims to capture the energy of Bengal’s football-loving districts while building anticipation among fans, young players and local communities. With the league preparing for its debut season, the tour marks an important step toward uniting Bengal under one footballing banner.

Launched in July, 2025, BSL is licensed by the Indian Football Association (IFA) and will feature 8 franchise teams representing district clusters. Matches will be hosted across 8 district venues, bringing professional football to regions beyond Kolkata and offering local players a platform to gain recognition and experience. The league aims to create excitement around district-level football, inspire local communities and uncover the hidden talent of Bengal, while strengthening the professional football ecosystem in the state. 

The Bengal Super League will feature some of the state’s most dynamic and competitive teams, each representing the rich footballing spirit of their respective regions. Among the participating clubs are Sundarban Bengal Auto FC, North 24 Parganas FC, Howrah-Hooghly Warriors, FC Medinipur, Burdwan Blasters, Kopa Tigers Birbhum, JHR Royal City FC Malda| Murshidabad & Northbengal United FC.

Shrachi Sports has partnered with Zee Bangla Sonar and ZEE5 as the league’s Official Broadcast and Streaming Partners, ensuring that football fans can experience the excitement of the BSL LIVE, both on television and digital platforms.
