Air Chief Marshal Flags Off PHDCCI’s Shaurya Bharat EV Drive
PHDCCI’s Shaurya Bharat EV Drive flagged off by Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, PVSM, AVSM to honour Operation Sindoor and promote Sustainability
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, PVSM, AVSM, today flagged off the Shaurya Bharat EV Drive: Sena ke Saath Paryavaran ka Vikas at the Air Force Station, New Delhi. The three-day rally, scheduled from 25th to 27th July 2025, will cover the route from New Delhi to Ambala to Adampur and return to New Delhi.
The Shaurya Bharat EV Drive represents a powerful convergence of two of India’s greatest strengths, the indomitable courage of the Indian Armed Forces and the nation’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with the Indian Air Force Adventure Wing, And Tata Motors, the rally is powered by 30 electric vehicles and 10 internal combustion engine vehicles, and serves as a special tribute to India’s defence personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, Wing Commander Jaideep, PRO, Indian Air Force, shared that the rally will cover three major stops- Delhi, Ambala, and Adampur, all of which were significant air bases active during Operation Sindoor. He also mentioned that the rally will include visits to various universities en route to engage with students, raise awareness about the Armed Forces, and inspire youth through interaction and information sharing.
Mr. Arshad Shawl, Chair, Youth Affairs and Sports Committee, PHDCCI, informed that this Shaurya Bharat EV Drive is being organized as a token of gratitude to the Armed Forces.
He added, this exclusive drive is a symbol of our respect for the military and our commitment to sustainable development. The collaboration between PHDCCI and the Indian Armed Forces underlines the message that national defence and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
The rally not only promotes civil-military engagement but also underscores India’s push for clean energy, responsible mobility, and environmental stewardship bringing together the spirit of Shaurya (bravery) with the vision of a green and self-reliant India, concluded Mr. Shawl.
The rally features a line-up of 40 Tata Motors cars, showcasing the potential of clean mobility solutions in the country. This unique initiative is supported by the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India. It aims to celebrate the valour, discipline, and unwavering spirit of the Indian Armed Forces, while also promoting sustainable transportation and green mobility as part of India’s broader environmental goals.
