Sony SAB X Friendship goals Sony SAB artists celebrate Friendship Day with love, laughter and a heartfelt off-screen bond
What often stays with you long after a shoot wraps are the friendships formed on set, those shared cups of chai, comforting silences, inside jokes, and unspoken support during the most demanding days. This Friendship Day, Sony SAB’s beloved artists Abhishek Verma, Aan Tiwari, Sheehan Kapahi and Naveen Pandita reflect on the beautiful off-screen bonds that have turned their sets into second homes.
Abhishek Verma, who plays Shaurya Sinha in Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil, shared, “There’s a quiet strength in knowing someone’s got your back and on the sets of Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil, I’ve found friendships that are rooted in mutual understanding and silent support. One of the most special bonds I have is with Shabir bhai. I’ve known him for years now, and he’s not just a phenomenal actor but also an incredibly grounded human being. We’ve shared many conversations about life, the craft, and everything in between and there’s always something to learn from him. On set, just having him around feels reassuring. Sometimes we don’t even need to talk just a glance or a pat on the back after a good take says it all. That’s the kind of friendship I value, steady, simple, real.”
Aan Tiwari, who plays Lord Hanuman in Veer Hanuman, said, “Everyone on set feels like a friend to me! We play together, eat together, and sometimes even have fun during breaks. My closest friend is Tanmay bhaiya, who plays Lord Ram. Just like Hanuman ji always took care of Ram ji, I feel friendship means always being there for each other. Happy Friendship Day to all my friends!”
Sheehan Kapahi, who plays Atharva Wagle in Wagle Ki Duniya- Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, shared, “On-screen we might be shooting serious scenes, but off-screen, we’re just a bunch of goofballs pulling each other’s leg between takes, especially Sumeet Sir pulls my leg a lot. The best part of this family is that I found some real friendships that feel like extended family. Happy Friendship Day to the crazy, fun people who make every shoot day feel like a school break!”
Naveen Pandita, who plays Ashwin in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “I still remember one hectic shoot day when everything that could go wrong, did. We were running behind schedule, scenes kept changing last minute, and everyone was just drained. But in the middle of all that chaos, Deshna cracked a silly joke, Darshan mimicked someone perfectly, and suddenly we were all laughing like kids. That’s the thing about on-set friendships, they become your comfort zone. We may play different characters on screen, but off-screen, we’ve become this unbreakable squad. That’s the magic of Pushpa Impossible, it gave me friends for life.”
