Behind the Scenes: Saloni Batra Discusses Her Eerie Experience in ‘Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery’
“Sometimes the Silence Felt Louder Than the Dialogue”: Saloni Batra on Her Experience Shooting for Amazon MX Player’s Bhay- The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery
MUMBAI, India, Jan 05: Amazon MX Player’s supernatural thriller, Bhay The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery, continues to draw viewers with its grounded, emotionally driven approach to the paranormal. Based on the life and mysterious death of India’s first paranormal investigator, Gaurav Tiwari, the series blurs the line between fact and fiction, unfolding as much through silence, grief, and belief as it does through unexplained phenomena. While Karan Tacker leads the story as Gaurav and Kalki Koechlin anchors the investigation as Irene, Saloni Batra brings emotional weight to the story as Megha, who becomes the human constant in a world that constantly shifts between reality and the unknown.

Shedding some light on the challenges of performing scenes where fear exists beyond the visible, Saloni Batra shares,
“You can’t play the fear or the mystery. You have to play the emotion. A lot of the time, you’re reacting to sound cues or light changes, but the honesty has to come from within. Once the technical aspects are mapped out, you almost forget about them and allow yourself to flow with what the character is feeling in that moment.”
Reflecting on how the atmosphere of the shoot shaped her performance, she adds,
“The night shoots, the silence, and the locations, all of it really seeps into you. Sometimes the silence felt louder than the dialogue. There were moments on set that felt uncanny, and experiencing that while telling this story made the process far more intense and immersive.”
Bhay- The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player across the MX Player app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Airtel Xstream.
