Noida International University celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day

The event started with exhibition of drill/parade by senior division NCC cadets of NIU under the aegis of40th UP Battalion Sikandrabad organized by Mr. Udham Singh, NCC officer & Dy. Director Sports, Noida International University. The welcoming address was delivered by Dr. N.H. Simon, DSW & Director SON. Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, Noida International University Dr. Parsanjeet Kumar delivered a motivational speech on this auspicious occasion. In his message, he emphasized on the importance of patriotism and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. Prof (Dr.) Jayanand, Registrar NIU, the Guest of honour Dr. Manu Arora, Medical Superintendent NIIMS and the chief guest Dr. Rajesh Ranjan, the Chief Operating Officer NIIMS, also addressed the gathering. The event was followed by flag hoisting and National Anthem.
The cultural programs were organized where students performed various activities like singing, dancing, speech on patriotism and musical performance to mark the occasion. Few other activities were conducted in virtual mode like poster making, poetry and dance, following the guidelines related to COVID-19. The students presented a short fashion show to showcase ethnicity and the rich diversity of our great nation. A tree plantation programme was also organized in the premises of NIU.
It was a joint effort which demonstrated the spirit and glory of India in Noida International University.
The day concluded with a heartfelt thanks conveyed by Ms. MC. Knirinda, Assistant Professor, SON & Health Sciences to all those who came to celebrate the day.
