CIMP Holds 14th Convocation, Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh Addresses Graduates
The 14th Convocation of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), held on September 26, 2025, represented a significant ceremonial occasion in the academic calendar of the institution. The ceremony was presided over by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh, the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
In his welcome address, Dr. Rana Singh, Director, CIMP extended his congratulations to the graduating students and took the occasion to highlight the institution’s remarkable journey since its inception, emphasizing its transformative impact on the educational and socioeconomic landscape of Bihar. Dr. Rana further acknowledged the pivotal support and vision of the government, the faculty’s unwavering dedication, and the collective efforts of all stakeholders in elevating CIMP to its present stature.
Chief Guest Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh, in his keynote address, spoke extensively about the evolving role of education and knowledge-driven innovation in empowering individuals and transforming societies, drawing special attention to the remarkable achievements of the institution and its students. He highlighted how Bihar, through initiatives spearheaded by premier institutions like CIMP, has witnessed a resurgence in academic excellence and societal progress. His speech called upon graduates to cultivate an ethos of lifelong learning, adaptability, and ethical leadership, underscoring the need to confront contemporary challenges with integrity and vision. He cited the institution’s strides in deploying technology, fostering entrepreneurship, and supporting social development, notably through its incubation centre and rural outreach programmes. The Chief Guest’s emphatic message was that today’s graduates carry a responsibility not merely to succeed in their careers but to serve as torchbearers of progress, contributing positively to the world emerging from their academic pursuits.
The heart of the convocation was marked by the conferral of degrees and recognition of outstanding achievements. Graduates received their certificates and academic honours in the presence of proud family members, faculty, and guests. Awards for the best scholastic performance and the best all-round performance were also given away by the chief guest. The winners of the best scholastic performance in PGDM were Ms. Jyoti Sinha. The winners of the best all-round performance in PGDM were Mr. Ujjwal Kumar.
In addition, institutional excellence was acknowledged through faculty and staff awards:

- Best Faculty in Research: Prof. Kalyan Agarwal
- Best Staff Member Award: Mr. Saroj Kumar
