Women Inspiring Network and The Body Shop Curate Powerful International Women’s Day Round Table on ‘Beauty Begins Within’

Mar 03: Marking International Women’s Day, Women Inspiring Network (WIN) in collaboration with The Body Shop will host an exclusive closed-door round table on March 2, 2026, at The Quorum. Centred on the theme Beauty Begins Within, the evening aims to spark meaningful dialogue around the evolving definition of beauty—moving beyond appearance-driven ideals toward well-being, individuality, and personal choice.

As conversations around beauty continue to shift culturally and socially, the round table will bring together founders, creators, industry leaders, and changemakers to reflect on how women are redefining beauty on their own terms. The discussion will examine the pressures women continue to navigate and the ways in which a new generation is reshaping narratives across industries and communities.

The initiative draws inspiration from the philosophy of Anita Roddick, who championed the belief that beauty is not dictated by society but is a deeply personal expression of identity and values. Staying true to this legacy, the conversation will also spotlight women-led enterprises that are building with purpose, empathy, and authenticity.

The round table will feature diverse perspectives from leaders and creators including Sharan Khanna, Founder of SharanYoga; Usha Chengappa, Centre Head, Bharat Thakur Artistic Yoga; Shriti Malhotra, Executive Chairman, Quest Retail; Kompal Matta Kapoor, Content Creator; Shailja Dutt, Founder and Chairperson, Stellar Search; Kanta Singh, UN Women India; Somya Satsangi, Independent Director and Chairperson, Risk Committee, Dr Lal PathLabs; Sudha Sarin, Professor of Practice, IILM University, Gurgaon; Akshara Dalal, Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology; Priyanka Gulati, Partner, Grant Thornton; Pari Jhaveri, Managing Partner, Purpose Leaders; Snehal Verma, CEO and Co-Founder, NatureDots; Priya Rana, Luxury and Fashion Journalist; Abhilasha Gupta, Global Head – Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Tech Mahindra; Reshma Chordia, Art Gallerist, Art Explore; and Stuti Jalan, Founder, Women Inspiring Network.

Speaking ahead of the event, Shriti Malhotra, Executive Chairman, The Body Shop South Asia, said:

“Today, women are redefining beauty on their own terms through confidence, wellbeing, informed choices, and how they live their lives. Forums like these help shift the narrative away from narrow ideals towards a more realistic understanding of women’s experiences. At The Body Shop, we believe beauty begins with self-worth, not standards, and that continues to shape how we approach care, confidence, and responsibility as a brand.”

Stuti Jalan, Founder, Women Inspiring Network, added:

“Over the years, I have realised that beauty is truly an inside job. It begins with how you see yourself, how you value yourself, and the confidence you carry within. This round table is about creating a space where women can share that journey and remind each other that real beauty starts from within.”

This collaboration between Women Inspiring Network and The Body Shop reflects a shared commitment to ensuring beauty feels like possibility rather than pressure. Through Beauty Begins Within, the initiative seeks to encourage honest dialogue and reinforce the message that the future of beauty is being shaped with empathy, courage, and authenticity.
