Union Budget 2026–27 marks a new chapter of Growth for the Textile and Apparel Industry and Rajasthan: Riju Jhunjhunwala

Delhi, Feb 4: Reacting to the Union Budget 2026–27, Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman of Rajasthan-based industrial major LNJ Bhilwara Group, said the announcements made for the textile sector are highly positive and encouraging, with long-term implications. According to him, these measures are set to give fresh direction to industrial growth in leading textile hubs such as Bhilwara.
He said the focus on boosting manufacturing, promoting technological upgradation, strengthening the MSME sector, encouraging exports, and simplifying business processes will inject new momentum into the textile industry. These reforms, he added, will help balance production costs, enhance global competitiveness, attract fresh investment, and create large-scale employment opportunities.
Textile clusters such as Bhilwara, which already play a crucial role in India’s textile supply chain, are expected to benefit significantly from the budget 2026-27. Industry experts believe the measures will open new avenues of growth not only for large enterprises but also for small and medium businesses. The budget is also expected to provide stability to export-oriented units and further strengthen the domestic market.
Jhunjhunwala described the Union Budget 2026–27 as a decisive step towards making India’s textile industry self-reliant, competitive, and globally robust. He said the budget would also reinforce the Make in India initiative and pave the way for sustainable growth.
He noted that the budget has been presented under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The budget places villages, the poor, farmers, youth, and women at its core, while laying a strong foundation for India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
On the occasion, Jhunjhunwala expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the industry-friendly budget. He also thanked BJP Rajasthan president Madan Rathore for his role in strengthening the state’s industrial ecosystem.
He said the Prime Minister’s guarantee is no longer just a promise but a commitment reflected in visible outcomes, and the Union Budget 2026–27 will provide long-term momentum to economic growth in Rajasthan and across the country.
