ShopClues witnesses 120% surge in demand for ‘Made in India’ products this festive season over last year

National: ShopClues, India’s leading online marketplace, has announced that this festive season the company has witnessed a massive surge for ‘Made in India’ products where the demand for products has gone up by 120% over last year. The ecommerce further added that indigenous merchants has also seen a significant growth this season.
Catering to the festive demand, ShopClues expanded the inventory on its platform to more than 4 crores products sold by over 7.5 lakhs vendors. The Gurugram-based e-commerce platform currently retails goods across fashion, home décor and electronics categories covering 31,500 pin codes in India.
“We’re expecting a huge festive rush this year. In order to meet the needs of our customers, we’ve expanded our range of merchandise and partnered with several local vendors whose diverse products add much value to our platform. We hope to elevate the shopping experience for our customers by offering them great promotional offers on our products this year,” said Mr Anuraag Gambhir, Head of Marketplace, ShopClues.
On the commencement of the festive season, ShopClues will be running Diwali and Karwa Chauth special sales through October. The Diwali sales will offer the customers hottest deals while the Karwa Chauth special sales will focus on providing fashion and lifestyle collection to Indian shoppers.
In addition to products from regional and global vendors, the festive sale will also comprise popular retail brands such as, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP, Catwalk, Puma, Boat, Beardo, Bajaj, Phillips, Portronics and many more. ShopClues has also strengthened its branded-merchandise platform ‘ShopClues Prime Mall’ which will focus on branded assortment & imported products from all over the world.
