Quote on the budget 2022, Pranesh Choudhary, Founder and CEO- Zunpulse

This year’s budget has given the necessary push to the Solar industry with the additional allocation of Rs 19,500 crore for PLI to boost domestic manufacturing capacity of solar PV modules. This will catapult the solar industry to reach the ambitious target of 280 gigawatts of installed solar capacity by 2030. Additionally, the simplification of subsidies and net-metering that were earlier announced have been enabling demand for the residential solar rooftop sector. We should witness a gradual yet sharp increase in solar adoption in the upcoming times and the dependency on imported solar equipment will be decreased, which will furthermore help the Make-In-India goal.
The announcement of the extension of tax relief for startups is a warm welcome. It is great to see the government of India supporting startups across the country with initiatives such as the national startup awards as well. Having Startup India recognize such efforts reignites our will to take leaps and move mountains in this arena. With the national startup award recognition and seeing more initiatives by GOI, our hearts are filled with passion to focus on one goal- bringing smarter choices for all electricity needs to every citizen of India.
