QCIL to Build 350 Bed CARE Hospital in Nagpur, Strengthening Healthcare Infrastructure in Central India
Hyderabad, Feb 17, 2026: Quality Care India Ltd. (QCIL), one of India’s leading healthcare platforms, has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the development of a 350+ bed state-of-the-art multi-specialty CARE Hospital in Nagpur. The LoA was exchanged between MAHA-METRO and QCIL in the presence of Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister, and Dr. Pawan Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, CARE Hospitals.

The proposed hospital will be developed on MAHA-METRO land near Kasturchand Park Metro Station, a key urban and transit hub in Nagpur. QCIL will invest approximately ₹600 crore in developing this future-ready healthcare facility, designed to serve both Nagpur and the surrounding Vidarbha region.
The hospital will be a comprehensive multi-specialty facility, featuring centres of excellence in cardiac sciences, oncology, gastroenterology, trauma care, and neurosciences, significantly enhancing access to high-quality healthcare for the region. The project is expected to be operational in a phased manner and is anticipated to create over 1,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Varun Khanna, Group Managing Director, QCIL, said, “This project reflects the growing importance of structured public–private partnerships in building healthcare systems that are accessible, integrated, and sustainable. For cities like Nagpur, such collaborations are critical to strengthening regional healthcare capacity and addressing the long-term needs of Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.”
Dr. Pawan Kumar, CEO, CARE Hospitals, added, “Our investment in Nagpur represents a deliberate step towards building multi-specialty capacity in Tier 2 cities through partnership-led development. This hospital will deliver high clinical standards while contributing meaningfully to the city’s social and economic infrastructure. We are honoured by the support of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, and we look forward to bringing this important healthcare facility to the people of Maharashtra.”
This project reinforces QCIL’s long-term commitment to decentralizing access to quality healthcare, strengthening regional medical ecosystems, and supporting India’s broader healthcare and urban development priorities.
