Punjab & Sind Bank Honoured with Three Awards for Excellence in Official Language Implementation
New Delhi, December 26, 2025: Punjab & Sind Bank has been conferred with three prestigious awards by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Delhi (Banks), in recognition of its exemplary efforts in the implementation and promotion of the Official Language, Hindi.
The awards were presented during the Annual Function and the 63rd Half-Yearly Meeting of Delhi TOLIC (Banks), held in New Delhi on December 22, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Shri Praveen Goyal, Chief General Manager, Punjab National Bank. The event was graced by Shri Rohit P. Das, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Delhi, as the Chief Guest, while Shri Kumar Pal Sharma and Joint Director (Official Language), Ministry of Home Affairs attended as Distinguished Guests.
Punjab & Sind Bank secured the Second Prize in the Rajbhasha Shield Competition for Official Language implementation. In addition, the Bank won the First Prize in the House Journal category for its Hindi quarterly magazine Rajbhasha Ankur and the Third Prize in the E-Magazine category for its e-magazine Rajdeep. The awards were received on behalf of the Bank by Shri Ashni Kumar, General Manager; Shri Pawan Kumar Bhatia, Regional Manager, Delhi-2; and Smt. Kumud Dhal, Chief Manager.
The Bank has consistently demonstrated its commitment towards effective implementation of the Official Language and the promotion of Hindi in banking operations. Through continuous innovation and structured initiatives, Punjab & Sind Bank actively encourages the progressive use of Hindi across its offices and services. A quarterly review meeting on Official Language implementation is regularly conducted at the Head Office level under the chairmanship of the Bank’s Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer to assess progress and reinforce best practices.
Punjab & Sind Bank’s sustained efforts in this direction have earned it recognition on several prestigious platforms in the past as well, reaffirming its dedication to strengthening the use of Hindi in official communication and banking activities.
