National Book Trust and Audible Collaborate to Boost Audiobook Culture Among Indian Readers

October 18, 2024: Audible, an Amazon company and the leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling, today announced that titles published by National Book Trust, India (NBT), the largest Indian Publisher will be available on Audible in audiobook format. This association with a Government body marks a first for Audible and is a step towards encouraging audiobook consumption among Indians by making quality reading material accessible to all in audio format.

Titles such as Chandernagor: A Burg of The Moon by Suddhasattwa Basu, Adventure on Clee Island by Tanuka Bhaumik Endow, and Heroes Do Not Grow on Trees by Sudha Puri & Amitava Sengupta will be made available on Audible, as a part of this association. This collaboration comes at a time when people lead increasingly time-strapped lives, seeking enriching and entertaining content on the go. National Book Trust, India, has long been committed to promoting reading by publishing books across diverse genres and for all age groups in over 70 languages. By offering an immersive storytelling experience, this initiative elevates the consumption of literature and attracts a new audience, in addition to its dedicated base of bibliophiles.
