Indian Bank Wins Twin Prestigious Awards for Technology, Digital Innovation & IT Risk Management

Chennai, Jan 13: Indian Bank once again reaffirmed its leadership in technology-driven banking by securing multiple prestigious national-level awards, recognising its excellence in digital innovation, cybersecurity, and IT risk management. 

At the 21st Annual Banking IT Technology Conference, Expo & Citations 2024-25, organised by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), Indian Bank was honoured under the Large Bank category with two top accolades – Best Technology Bank and Best IT Risk Management. These awards acknowledge the Bank’s robust IT governance framework, strong cybersecurity posture, and effective use of technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. Shri Ashutosh Choudhury, Executive Director along with other top executives received both the awards on behalf of the Indian Bank team.

In another significant achievement, Indian Bank was also recognised at the SKOCH Awards, where the Bank received the SKOCH Golden Award for “IB SAATHI”, an end-to-end digital platform for seamless management of the Business Correspondent (BC) lifecycle, promoting financial inclusion and operational transparency. Additionally, the Bank won the SKOCH Silver Award for “Redefining Security Operations”, highlighting the transformation of its Security Operations Centre (SOC) and strengthening of cyber resilience. These awards were received by the Executive Director Ms Mini T.M. in presence of the senior leadership of the Bank.

These recognitions reflect Indian Bank’s continued commitment to leveraging advanced technology, strengthening IT risk management practices, and delivering secure, innovative, and customer-centric banking solutions. The Bank remains focused on aligning its digital initiatives with evolving regulatory expectations and the national digital ecosystem.
