ESSCI Reaffirms Commitment to Future-Ready Skilling for India’s Electronics Sector
New Delhi, July 15, 2025: On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) reaffirms its commitment to empowering India’s youth with industry-relevant, future-ready skills that meet the demands of tomorrow’s rapidly evolving technology landscape.
“At ESSCI, we are committed to equipping India’s talent pool with the capabilities required for tomorrow’s jobs,” said Saleem Ahmed, Officiating Head of ESSCI. “Our focus is on creating pathways for young professionals to not only integrate into but lead the next phase of innovation and growth in the electronics sector.”
ESSCI’s skill development ecosystem is aligned with high-growth, high-tech domains through a robust and continuously evolving portfolio of qualifications, including:
VLSI Design Engineer
Embedded Software Engineer
Drone Manufacturing Technician
Solar LED Technician
CCTV Installation Technician
IoT Hardware Analyst
By embedding cutting-edge tools such as AR/VR-based training modules, real-time skill assessments, and fostering strong industry partnerships, ESSCI is preparing a workforce that meets both national priorities and global standards in Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM).
In collaboration with leading industry partners, ESSCI has also introduced four Future Skills courses—AI Embedded Product Developer, Essentials of Coding and Programming, Essentials of IoT, and Fundamentals of Big Data—in higher education institutions across the country. These courses are designed to build deep technical competencies in high-demand areas, enabling students to gain future-ready skillsets.
Over 3,000 candidates have already been trained in these emerging roles. Importantly, training, certification, and scholarships for top performers are offered completely free of cost, ensuring equal opportunity and access for all. ESSCI also provides digital content across 75+ job roles, which is easily accessible online to support self-learning and wider reach.
