Business To Philanthropy – Journey of Mohammed Muneeb Khan and Mohammed Akheel

The aspirations to dream and achieve can make you achieve anything in the world. Yes, with the same motto, two friends named Mr. Akheel and Mr. Muneeb has continuously been providing their services to the public in various business niches. Both of them hail from the Shimoga District of Karnataka and it’s a place of nature and Beauty termed “Malenadu.”

The story of both of them is inspiring which would be no less than to say rags to riches.

Mr. Muneeb was born into a family who wanted him to pursue his career in engineering but he chose his destiny against the family and turned out to be a business tycoon. Though he completed his education in Civil and EHS Engineering diploma and started his entrepreneurial journey merely when he was in 10th standard. He started helping people to get a Driving License at RTO with very less profit and margin and till his 12th standard, he continued that business.

Later, Muneeb met his business partner Mr. Akheel.  Akheel’s father was an advocate and a philanthropic human. Akheel lost his father at the small age of 16 and started doing odd jobs like Newspaper distribution, a salesman in a cloth shop, etc to support his family. Mr. Akheel even supported the studies of his brother and sister by working in a pharmaceutical shop. Mr. Akheel completed his education in computer science at the PES Institute of Technology and management.

Mr. Muneeb and Mr. Akheel collaborated in 2010 for the first time and exchanged their ideas, blueprint for the business and finally, in 2012 they launched their first firm in partnership by the name “Bright Group” which was in supplying school bags and uniforms.

Muneeb even applied for jobs and was rejected by the 33 companies and was then appointed as EHS officer in the second largest company of Saudi Arabia, “Sabic”. And after his job hours, he used to pitch his business ideas to the investors.

It was the year 2016 when Mr Muneeb and Mr Akheel launched their soft drink brand by the name “Thanda Natural Soda”.  “Amber” the packaged drinking water brand was launched by the duo in 2017 and in 2018 they came up with the software and web development company by the name “1 Help Technology & Software Solutions Pvt Ltd”. Later on they also launched its sister company by the name “1 Help Technocrats & Innovations Pvt Ltd.” In 2019 they expanded their business to Qatar and Dubai by the name “Antique Constructions and Builders” in the field of Real estate.

Philanthropic Works

During the 2019 floods in Karnataka, this duo helped the affected people with food and medicines. In the Corona period, they even helped by donating to the PM Relief fund. They provided water supply at the rate of 1 rupee/liter to 14 villages and 2625 homes and provided free water supply to 2 schools, 29 temples, 2 mosques, and 33 Anganwadis.

Awards and Recognition
Mr. Muneeb and Mr. Akheel got the “India Icon Award 2019” for their work in the IT sector in Karnataka. Both of them also conferred with the “India Excellence Award 2019” for fastest growing software solutions in south India. Both the business tycoons were also nominated for the “International Goal Awards 2020” in Kathmandu Nepal and the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2021” award. Both of them were awarded Honorary Doctorates in strategic management, marketing, sales, and social service in Dubai by World Human Rights in 2022.
Their net worth is USD 1.9 Billion approximately 190 crores of Indian rupees
