Behind the Scenes of Terror: Karan Tacker Describes Disturbing Incident While Filming Bhay

MUMBAI, Dec 26: Amazon MX Player’s supernatural thriller Bhay The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery continues to spark intrigue not just for what unfolds on screen, but also for the unexplained moments that surfaced during filming. While portraying India’s real-life paranormal investigator Gaurav Tiwari, Karan Tacker recalls incidents on set that blurred the line between fiction and reality.

Speaking about one particularly unsettling moment, Karan Tacker shares,

“We were shooting an intense scene with Niharika. At any given time, we usually have two cameras running. One was recording my close-up, and the other was placed in a corner but was completely shut. You have to physically press a button to start recording. But later, we realised that the shut camera had recorded the entire scene. It captured a dramatic close-up of me from a strange Dutch angle, shot from below. In reality, no one had turned that camera on.”

Recounting another chilling incident, Karan reflects on how a sense of unease soon translated into something far more real.

“We had investigators on set one day, and they kept pointing towards a specific spot. A day earlier, I had felt a sudden chill in my spine standing there. During filming, a tree from that exact spot got uprooted and fell onto an ambulance parked nearby, slashing it in half. At the same time, all seven or eight cameras on set glitched and their batteries drained together.”

These moments, Karan admits, left a lasting impact on the cast and crew, reinforcing the emotional and psychological weight of telling a story inspired by real paranormal experiences. Bhay The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery stars Karan Tacker alongside Kalki Koechlin, Saloni Batra, Danish Sood, and a strong ensemble cast.

Bhay- The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player across the MX Player app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, Play Store, and Airtel Xstream.
