Avinya Bihar 2.0 was hosted by Industries Department

Startup Bihar under the aegis of Department of Industries, hosted Avinya Bihar 2.0 on National Startup Day 2026, Friday, 16 January 2026 in collaboration with Chandragupta Institute of Management Patna and Indian Institute of Technology, Patna at CIMP, Mithapur Institutional Area, Patna.
The event was supported by TiE Patna, with Startup&I as the official media partner.
The event began with ligting of lamp by dignitaries. Welcome note was delievered by Shri Kumod Kumar, CEO, CIMP-BIIF & President, TiE-Patna said, “It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all of you to Avinya Bihar 2.0 at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna. This platform is a celebration of Bihar’s entrepreneurial spirit, where ideas meet opportunities and innovation finds wings. As CEO of CIMP-BIIF and President of TiE-Patna, I am proud to see our ecosystem growing stronger with every edition. Together, we are building a future where Bihar becomes a beacon of startups, talent, and transformative ventures for the nation.”
The event showcased Bihar’s growing role in India’s startup revolution and highlighted the state’s vision for building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The chief guest at the event was Hon’ble Industries Minister Shri Dilip Kumar Jaiswal.
Addressing the event he said, “Bihar is entering a new era of innovation and entrepreneurship. Through initiatives like Avinya Bihar 2.0, we are not only celebrating the spirit of our young innovators but also building a robust ecosystem that will empower startups to thrive. The Government of Bihar is committed to providing every possible support, be it infrastructure, mentorship, or funding, to ensure that our entrepreneurs can transform their ideas into impactful ventures. Together, we will make Bihar a leading force in India’s startup revolution.” He promised startups to increase the government startup seed fund from 10 lakh to 25 lakhs in future.
The event was graced by an eminent panel of guests on the dais. The occasion witnessed the presence of Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, alongside Dr. Bidya Nand Singh, IAS, Director (Handloom and Sericulture), Government of Bihar. Adding to the distinguished gathering was Smt. Anubha Prasad, General Manager, SIDBI, and Prof. (Dr.) Sudhir Kumar, Professor In-charge & Secretary, Incubation Centre, IIT Patna. The event also had the honor of welcoming Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, and Shri Kumod Kumar, CAO-CIMP, CEO-CIMP-BIIF & President, TiE-Patna. Completing the panel was Shri Sushil Sharma, Founder of Marwari Catalyst, whose presence further enriched the dialogue on fostering Bihar’s startup ecosystem.
A panel discussion was held on “Building a Thriving Startup Ecosystem in Bihar” and “Vision 2030: Future Roadmap, Policy Direction, and Government Initiatives including Startup Bihar”, moderated by Abhishek Sinha, CEO, Global Management Associates LLC (Dubai). The panel featured distinguished speakers including Sh. Vibhash Kumar, ED, TiE Patna; Smt. Mousami Saha, CEO, IC-AIIMS Patna; Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Professor-in-charge & Secretary, IC-IIT Patna; Sh. Manish Kumar, Founder, Pravisht Digital; Sh. Mithilesh Kumar Pandey, Law Learning Bench Pvt. Ltd.; and Sh. Ruhail Ranjan, MLA-Islampur & Finance Director, BRICS.
Another insightful panel discussion on “From Policy to Pipeline: Unlocking Capital Flow for Bihar’s Startups & MSMEs” was moderated by Smt. Priya Nath, with panelists Sh. KPS Keshri, President, BIA; Sh. Sushil Sharma, Founder, Marwari Catalyst; and Sh. Akash Tulsiyan, Founder, Aarav Ventures, who shared their perspectives on enabling financial access and investment opportunities for Bihar’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

There were two Masterclasses were held: one on From Content to Canvas: Crafting Visually Powerful Pitch Decks for Investors by Abhishek Biswas, Director, Red Pixels Pvt. Ltd. the other on Developing Investment Mindset, Readiness and Finding Opportunities by Shri Sushil Sharma, Founder, Marwari Catalyst.
The highlights of Avinya Bihar 2.0 included the launch of the website Startupandi.com, along with MoU signings between Startup Bihar & TiE Patna, and Startup Bihar & SU&I Magazine.
The event also featured awards to the top five incubation centres and startup cells, with Government Engineering College, Vaishali securing the 1st position, followed by Bihar Agriculture University, Sabour, Bhagalpur in 2nd place, Government Engineering College, Aurangabad in 3rd place, RPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur in 4th place, and Gaya College of Engineering, Gaya along with Government Engineering College, Arwal sharing the 5th position. In the Best Incubation Center Ranking, IIT Patna was recognised at the top spot, followed by CIMP Patna in 2nd place, BAU Sabour, Bhagalpur in 3rd place, RPCAU Pusa, Samastipur in 4th place, and CNLU Patna in 5th place.
The event also witnessed the launch of several innovative startup products, including Awshar AI, Finace India, Jilo Health, Green Stark, Pravisht, RCX Light, and Biharo, reflecting the diverse entrepreneurial talent emerging from Bihar’s startup ecosystem. A walkthrough of startup stalls by dignitaries added further vibrancy to the occasion.
The event served as a dynamic platform to celebrate Bihar’s entrepreneurial talent and innovation while fostering stronger collaboration between startups, investors, and policymakers.
