Mar 12: Ashirvad by Aliaxis, one of India’s leading providers of plumbing and water management solutions, has released a heartfelt campaign film on the occasion of World Plumbing Day, paying tribute to the often-unseen heroes of the country—the plumbing community.

 Plumbers play a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted water supply to homes, hospitals, construction sites, restaurants, and essential infrastructure across the country. Despite their indispensable contribution to daily life, their efforts often go unnoticed. Through this campaign film, Ashirvad by Aliaxis expresses gratitude to the community that ensures water—the most essential resource of life—reaches every household.

The film is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, a National Award-winning filmmaker known for his acclaimed work including the film Pink, and features music composed by renowned musician Bickram Ghosh. The concept and script have been developed by Leo India. Blending storytelling with a meaningful message, the film highlights the lives of people who rarely receive recognition for their contributions.

Across India, millions of professionals are involved in the plumbing sector—designing, installing, and maintaining water supply systems that sustain everyday life. As a company closely connected to the plumbing ecosystem, Ashirvad by Aliaxis sees this initiative as a step toward reshaping public perception and recognizing plumbers as an essential pillar of the country’s infrastructure.

Speaking about the campaign, Amit Gheji, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Ashirvad by Aliaxis, said:

“People know us as a company that makes high-quality pipes, and that is true. But water doesn’t flow through pipes alone—it flows because of a skilled and hardworking workforce behind them. Plumbers carry the responsibility of bringing the most essential resource—water—into our homes. This film draws attention to that unseen truth.”

The film opens in a classroom, where a young child is asked to speak about his father’s profession. Hesitant at first, the child pauses—until his father, who is a plumber, steps forward and recites a poem posing a simple yet profound question: “Have you ever wondered how water reaches you?”

The question echoes through different settings in the film—hospitals, construction sites, restaurant kitchens, remote villages, and even a space center preparing for a rocket launch. Each scene reinforces a powerful truth: behind every functioning water system, there is a plumber.

In the film’s closing moments, one of the classmates remarks, “Akhil’s father is a superhero.” The line underscores the campaign’s message that plumbers are the real, yet often overlooked, heroes behind modern water systems.

The campaign concludes with its central message:

“Ensuring water reaches every street, every home, and every corner of the country is not easy. It is time we give plumbers the respect they truly deserve.”

Reflecting on the project, director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury said:

“Very few brand films celebrate everyday people as heroes. What drew me to this story was the chance to see the world through the eyes of a plumber—someone whose work makes life easier for millions but is rarely acknowledged. The emotional connection between a father and son makes this narrative particularly powerful.”

The campaign concept and screenplay were developed by Leo India, using the father-son relationship to portray both professional pride and emotional depth.

Rajiv Rakshit, Executive Director at Leo, added:

“We wanted to bring attention to a community that rarely gets recognition, despite playing a crucial role in our daily lives. By telling the story through a father and son, we were able to highlight both the emotional and professional pride associated with the profession.”

The campaign also aligns with Ashirvad by Aliaxis’ brand philosophy, “Science Inside the Pipe,” which reflects the engineering, innovation, and expertise that power modern plumbing systems. Through this film, the company hopes to spark a broader conversation about the professionals who ensure water reaches every street and every home across the country
