The first Dental College in West Bengal – Guru Nanak Institute Of Dental Sciences & Research receives Grade ‘A’ rating by NAAC

Kolkata, 1 April 2022: Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences & Research (GNIDSR) under JIS Group has become the first Dental College in West Bengal to get the prestigious NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council) Accreditation. The Institute bagged a Grade ‘A’ rating by NAAC which is held by a handful of Dental Colleges in the Country. Apart from GNIDSR Narula Institute of Technology has also been accredited with a Grade ‘A’ rating by NAAC and a CGPA of 3.22 on a seven point scale. On the other hand, GNIDSR has received a CGPA of 3.16 on a seven point scale respectively. Accreditation for both colleges will be valid for the next five years.

NAAC being one of the toughest accreditation to attain, GNIDSR has been preparing for almost three long years for the accreditation. In order to attain the aim, GNIDSR has kept up with the modern times and upgraded its infrastructure with world-class Smart Classes and Flip Classes using Software-based Blended Learning. GNIDSR is also the first dental teaching institute in West Bengal and probably in Eastern India to start a CAD-CAM Ceramic Lab.
