Greater Noida, Feb 14: Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR’s School of Management and Entrepreneurship hosted the Industry Academia Seminar 2026: New Challenges Facing MSMEs in Skilled Resources. The seminar brought together leaders of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and academia to identify real-world skill gaps and explore collaborative pathways for developing a future-ready workforce.
The event was attended by Mr. Sarabjit Singh, Member and Chapter Chairman, Indian Industries Association (IIA), Greater Noida Chapter, along with 15 delegates from IIA. The seminar also featured 13 Managing Directors of MSMEs, who discussed the pain, gain and adventure of starting new ventures, overcoming workforce challenges, and what young professionals can expect.
Key speakers included Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Managing Director, CBS Technologies; Mr. Gorav Minda, Managing Director, GKM Energy Pvt Ltd; Mr. Praveen Sood, Regnant Energy Solutions; and Mr. Rahul Kumar, HPC Global Consultants Private Limited. The speakers shared practical insights on building resilient businesses, navigating talent shortages, and aligning industry needs with academic outcomes.
Professor Rajesh Chakrabarti, Dean, School of Management and Entrepreneurship, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, who opened the seminar, said,
“This is just the first step in our effort to build a partnership with the largest MSME network in the country. This marks the beginning of a long-term and meaningful relationship, where both entities work together for mutual benefit. I am confident that the industry can greatly benefit from the expertise of our distinguished faculty and the talent of our exceptional students, who are eager to contribute through internships, employment opportunities and research projects. And we look forward to using all the opportunities that IIA can provide us.”
The seminar also provided participants with an opportunity to network with leadership from the Indian Industries Association of which Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR is a member, to facilitate synergy between MSMEs and the University ecosystem.
“In today’s times, skills matter as much as qualification. Skilling must be at the centre of our focus. Beyond that, qualities such as communication, discipline, professionalism, teamwork, time management, and a sense of responsibility are equally important. Besides skilling, these attributes define true industry readiness. Age is never a restriction for learning; what you learn today may become outdated tomorrow, so the ability to continuously upgrade is critical. Those who adapt, evolve, and move with change will thrive. I encourage students to have a clear vision, whether they aspire to be job seekers or job creators. Stay curious and take responsibility for shaping your own growth and contributing meaningfully to the nation’s progress”, said Mr. Sarabjit Singh, Member and Chapter Chairman, Indian Industries Association (IIA), Greater Noida Chapter.
The Industry Academia Seminar 2026 further reiterates Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR’s focus on bridging skill gaps and forging strong partnerships with industry bodies such as IIA. Through such dialogue with the leaders of MSME organizations, the university continues to enhance its vision of nurturing talent with insights, industry exposure, and future-readiness.
