Kerala Women Entrepreneurs’ Conclave in Thrissur on Monday to Focus on Technology-Driven Growth
Thrissur, October 11: Over 1,000 women entrepreneurs from across Kerala will participate in the Kerala Women Entrepreneurs’ Conclave 2025 to be held in Thrissur on Monday, October 13. Organised by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, the conclave aims to strengthen women’s participation in the State’s industrial and entrepreneurial sectors with a special focus on technology-enabled business growth. The one-day event, to be held at the Lulu International Convention Centre, is being organised as part of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) project, supported by the World Bank. The conclave is designed to empower women-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by encouraging innovation, digital adoption, and access to new markets.
The conclave will be inaugurated by Minister for Law, Industries, and Coir, P. Rajeeve, while Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice, Dr. R. Bindu, will preside over the function. A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, IAS, Principal Secretary (Industries), will deliver the keynote address. RAMP Director Ankita Pandey, IRS, and Director of Industries and Commerce P. Vishnu Raj, IAS, will present details of the project. P. Balachandran, MLA, Mayor M.K. Varghese, and District Panchayat President V.S. Prince will also attend.
Platform for knowledge-sharing
The conclave seeks to build on the achievements of the State’s Entrepreneurship Year (2022–23) initiative, during which women accounted for 31 per cent of new entrepreneurs. The sessions will focus on technology-based manufacturing, digital marketing, e-commerce, and the use of affordable AI tools to improve productivity. In addition to panel discussions and experience-sharing sessions, the event will feature a single-window support system where participants can access representatives from banks, financial institutions, and government agencies such as UDYAM, KSWIFT, and GST. Help desks will also offer guidance on funding and registration processes. Officials said the conclave is expected to serve as a major platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and policy dialogue, while encouraging more women to take leadership roles in Kerala’s MSME ecosystem.
