Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) has entered into an academic initiative with Zell Education and Deloitte to offer a specialised B. Com in Fintech. The programme integrates academic learning with practical exposure in areas such as blockchain, digital payments, data analytics and regulatory technology, aiming to create a strong foundation in financial innovation and digital transformation.
“Fintech is one of the most dynamic fields in today’s business environment. Through this initiative, students will benefit from applied learning and gain deeper insights into how technology is reshaping financial services,” said Dr Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS.
The three-year programme includes 12 fintech-focused subjects designed to introduce students to real-world finance applications. Zell Education will facilitate 8 courses while Deloitte India will facilitate 4 courses, ensuring that students consistently interact with industry professionals. The curriculum also features mentorship, case-based learning, and exposure to key technological and regulatory advancements.
“We believe that future-ready careers begin at the undergraduate level. By integrating our fintech curriculum, we are ensuring students gain a competitive edge early in their academic journey. This initiative is about building capabilities that align with the demands of a rapidly advancing fintech sector,” said Anant Bengani, Co-Founder, Zell Education.
As India’s financial ecosystem evolves rapidly, this initiative aims to prepare a strong talent pool with hands-on exposure to modern fintech practices and tools. It aims to ease the transition from academia to industry while opening broader career avenues for students.
“By aligning academic learning with industry expectations, this initiative empowers students with hands-on experience and forward-looking knowledge. It prepares them to play a key role in shaping the future of fintech and contributing meaningfully to its next wave of transformation,” said Jenul Sanghani, Partner, Deloitte India.
“We believe in preparing students for the real world. It is a strong step towards ensuring our students graduate not just with degrees but with direction,” said CS Dr Monika Goel, Dean, School of Commerce, MRIIRS.
