“Nurturing Future Leadership” Programme Ends, Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders

Kashipur, December 23, 2024: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur successfully hosted a five-day “Nurturing Future Leadership” programme under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP), an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Held from December 16 to 20, 2024, the programme aimed to empower faculty members from Central and State Government institutions with leadership skills and pedagogical insights to drive meaningful change in their respective institutes.

The “Nurturing Future Leadership” programme was carefully designed to address the need for visionary leadership in educational institutions. It provided a platform for faculty members to develop strategies, share best practices, and collaborate on innovative ideas to overcome institutional challenges. The event saw participation from 40 faculty members representing universities and institutions from across India, with a notable presence from Uttarakhand-based universities.

Participants engaged in dynamic sessions, including case studies, group exercises, and policy discussions. Special emphasis was placed on fostering collaborations between institutions in Uttarakhand and exploring avenues for joint projects and state-specific research initiatives. These activities not only equipped attendees with practical skills but also encouraged the exchange of ideas and collaborative learning.

The valedictory session on December 20, 2024, was a memorable event attended by Prof. Kunal Ganguly, Dean of Development at IIM Kashipur, along with distinguished professors Prof. K.N. Badhani and Prof. Vaibhav Bhamoriya. Addressing the participants, Prof. Ganguly underscored the importance of institutional collaborations to achieve collective progress. “The collaboration between IIM Kashipur and other institutions in Uttarakhand is pivotal for creating a vibrant academic ecosystem,” he remarked, inspiring attendees to envision larger goals for educational excellence.

The programme drew accolades from participants, who praised IIM Kashipur for creating a platform that brought academicians together for a shared cause. The initiative was lauded for its comprehensive approach to leadership development and its role in advancing higher education in India.
