Los Angeles, Calfornia – (March 14, 2025) Van Eaton Galleries—the premier auction house celebrating 30 years and specializing in animation art, Disneyana, and pop culture—proudly presents The Bob Clampett Collection, a two-day auction celebrating one of the greatest animators of all time on March 22, 2025 and March 23, 2025.

Throughout his legendary career, Clampett worked with Walt Disney, at Warner Bros., and even with Dr. Seuss. He collaborated with Tarzan creator Edgar Rice Burroughs on an attempted “Warlord of Mars” animated series, art from which is included in this auction. Clampett created the refined Warner Bros.’ beloved cartoon characters Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Tweety Bird. He created the Emmy-winning puppet show “Time for Beany”—which counted Albert Einstein among its fans—and its animated successor “Beany and Cecil,” both rife with Clampett’s love of puns and topical humor. This auction is filled with rare and one-of-a-kind memorabilia from Clampett’s years bringing characters from Disney, Warner Bros. and Dr. Seuss to life and from both Beany and Cecil shows, including several prototypes never released to the public.

Along with Clampett’s incredible collection of artwork and memorabilia, this auction features rare pop culture and Disneyana treasures. Highlights include a “Gertie the Dinosaur” production drawing, a Charlie McCarthy stop-motion armature, and the personal scrapbook of Disney Legend Carl Stalling. Among the extremely rare photographs in this auction are original candid photos of Walt Disney in a photo booth, using his first film camera, and even photos from his honeymoon. Many of these photos were held by Walt himself and include inscriptions he wrote on the reverse. They perfectly captured one of the most influential people in human history—right before he changed the world of entertainment.

A free limited-run auction exhibition is open to the public until March 20, 2025 Van Eaton Galleries located at 12160 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA 91602.
