State Level Bankers Committee organized 77th quarterly meeting

 

The 77th quarterly review meeting of the State Level Banker’s Committee was held on 22nd November 2021. After the previous performance report was given confirmation, a presentation was made by the State Level Banks Committee on the achievements of various banks operating in the state and problem-wise development achieved under various schemes of the Government of India. After which, the Convener of the State Level Banks Committee, Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of India, Shri Atanu Kumar Das, in his keynote address, welcomed the representative officers of various departments of the State and Government of India. He mentioned that, with the combined efforts of all the stakeholders, the expected goals can surely be achieved in the current quarter. Along with this, he also highlighted the special role of Bank of India as Convener of the State Level Banker’s Committee and hoped to achieve a 100% target under the positive leadership of the concerned Lead District Managers of 19 aspirational districts.

Mr. Das talked about preparing a special action plan on government-sponsored schemes and KCC etc. to increase the CD ratio and the need for detailed discussion in all the upcoming meetings for the implementation of these action plans. Present in the meeting were the top officials of the State Government, Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh Principal Secretary Finance Department and Mr. Abu Bakkar Siddiqui Secretary Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department, Mr. Sanjeev Sinha General Manager Reserve Bank of India, Dr. G. K. Nair Chief General Manager NABARD, and Mr. Swarup Dasgupta Executive Director Bank of India. They also shared their views and appreciated the meaningful concerted efforts of the banks operating in the state. General Manager National Banking Group Mr. Bikram Keshari Mishra informed that SLBC Jharkhand has been awarded the “Award of Par Excellence” by PFRDA and LDM Pakud has received the “Award of Par Excellence” under the ‘APY CITIZEN CHOICE’ campaign run by PFRDA. At the same time, SLBC Jharkhand has secured the first position in the category of medium-level states and he also appealed to all the banks that all the stakeholders need to accelerate their efforts in the areas where the expected results have not yet been achieved. In the end, the meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks by General Manager Union Bank of India Mr. Binod Kumar Patnaik.
