News18 Bangla Bengal Conclave 2022 brings important insights on economy, education, healthcare and related matters of concern for the state

14th April 2022: The beginning of a new financial year comes along with the announcements of new schemes along with key planning on the future ahead, for the nation as well as for each state. West Bengal, the pride of East India, has been setting up examples years after years through its walk on the path of development and progress. Such inspirational growth is the result of well-planned strategies and months of discussions and debates. In this very spirit, News18 Bangla presents BENGAL CONCLAVE 2022 – a day-long event dedicated to the dreams and aspirations of a Bengal on the move. The event, beginning at 2 pm on Friday, 15 April will include discussions and dialogues on critical issues before the state of West Bengal and its people today.

As the theme ‘Bengal First: Bengal The Way Forward’ suggests, the program will incorporate meaningful and earnest dialogues on key subjects like Industry & Economy, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Culture, and Entertainment & Tourism. The discourse throughout the day will be divided into four plenary sessions, each graced with the presence of some of the esteemed stalwarts of the industry, academicians, economists, social scientists, bureaucrats, politicians, and artists.

Renowned economist Dr. Abhirup Sarkar will moderate the session on INDUSTRY & ECONOMY – The Resurgence of Bengal, while Dr. Suranjan Das, Vice-Chancellor of Jadavpur University, will lead the way on the subject of EDUCATION – The Propeller of Growth. Dr Kunal Sarkar, a well-known cardiac surgeon and Vice Chairman of Media Hospital, will be in charge of HEALTHCARE – Oasis or Mirage and the session on HERITAGE, CULTURE, ENTERTAINMENT & TOURISM – The Obscure Future will be chaired by Gautam Ghosh, a well-known film director in the Bengali film industry.

These sessions will be followed by a valedictory speech, and conclude with a stormy debate show –The Great Bengal Debate. Through the arguments, News18 Bangla aims to be a pioneer of an intellectually stimulating war of words on the very first day of the Bengali New Year 1429 on the topic ‘Politically in-fluxed Bengalee’s business-disinclination is the main hindrance for Industrialization of Bengal?’
