Shamita Singh of Chhatarpur won the title of the country’s first Bundeli chef
Indore, July 2021: Chhatarpur resident, Shamita Singh, won the title of “Bundeli Chef”, the region’s first online chef competition organized by troopel Bundelkhand. Sonal Jain from Mumbai and Varsha Jain from Indore won second and third place respectively.
In a grand ceremony held on Saturday, Kirti Namdev of Lalitpur and Shivali Agarwal of Jhansi also participated as top 5 participants. Famous actress Sushmita Mukherjee was the virtual judge in this program. Shamita won the title of the winner, leaving everyone behind, by completing the special tasks given by the judge’s panel to all the participants.
Commenting on the event, Bundeli Chef sponsor and Founder of Organic Sankalp, Rajendra Rajpurohit, said, “Although our country has an infinite amount of talent, it is equally lacking in refinement. Bundeli Chef has given a marvellous chance to the women to use their cooking skills to present the traditional and famous cuisines of Bundelkhand to the country. Notably, the Bundeli Chef contest has been running for the past three months and after bypassing many stages, its grand finale was held on 10th July in Indore. Along with massive registrations and a long list of contestants, and after passing 8 auditions, 2 quarter finale and semi finale, 5 contestants secured their places in the top 5 of the competition.
The entire team of Troopel, the host, Aishwarya Fender, and the show’s judge, Jyoti Namdev contributed immensely to the competition to make it a success. Troopel Bundelkhand salutes all the talents of India and Bundelkhand and also wishes all the participants a bright future.
