P2P rural commerce startup Rozana organizes ‘Rozana Saarthi Samaroh’ in Raebareli

Raebareli, 23rd April’22: Rozana, a P2P rural commerce startup that leverages Tech and Data Science to cater to unique local demands of 1 billion Indians outside the scope of online commerce organized a two-day training programme for its saarthis (peer partners) in Raebareli on 21st & 22nd April. Aimed at digitally training the saarthis for using the tech platform ‘Rozana’, a number of workshops were organized to empower entrepreneurs and enhance their skills towards digital adoption.

Around 1200 of the total 12000 saarthis participated in the programme and 40 were felicitated in recognition of their efforts. The peer partners narrated their Rozana journey and the impact that the platform has created in their lives. The impactful ambience throughout the programme was witnessed by 3One4 Capital, one of the investors on board and also saw participation from leading brand partners including Parle, HUL, P&G.

Speaking at the event, Ankur Dahiya, Co-founder & CEO, Rozana said, ‘The market opportunity for rural commerce is unimaginable; majority of the customers base still resides in the remotest village. Rozana Saarthi Samaroh is a first-of-its kind event. The programme is envisioned with the aim of expanding knowledge of the rural communities and understanding of the entrepreneurial opportunities available. As the rural market is ready for disruption, Rozana is racing against time to ensure the effective delivery of essential services to these areas. Rozana envisions providing digital literacy to rural communities, empowering them with a sustainable livelihood through employment and income generation. With a total of over 12000 micro-level entrepreneurs, touching 4 lac+ consumers, 90% of which are 1st time online users – Rozana continues to bolster its rural network across the country. The platform is on a mission to connect India to Bharat phgitally by enabling ease of rural commerce.

The startup currently claims to serve 4-5K gram panchayats in rural districts in UP, Haryana, Karnataka, and other states offering innovative products and categories specifically needed by rural consumers.
