New Delhi, May 29, 2023 – In a bid to foster the integration of art and music in the corporate environment, Art Space Foundation, a not-for-profit organization was recently launched at IIT Delhi. This foundation is affiliated with Masterclass Space, an ed-tech company based in India and Singapore. It is supported by young innovators from IIT, IIM, and BITS-Pilani. The launch event was honoured by the distinguished presence of Mr Rakesh Verma, CMD and Co-founder of MapmyIndia; Mr Rakesh Kumar Singhal, consultant to the Steel Research Technology Mission of India and former Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, SAIL; and Mr Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Executive Director of IOCL. Additionally, Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri, a renowned Tabla Maestro from the Delhi Gharana, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.
The integration of art and music in corporate settings has been proven to provide numerous benefits. Research studies have consistently demonstrated that art and music can positively influence employee moods, reduce stress levels, and enhance overall job satisfaction. Moreover, art and music have been linked to increased creativity, concentration, and cognitive function, leading to improved problem-solving skills and enhanced productivity. By incorporating art and music into the workplace, corporations can create an atmosphere that fosters collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement. There are various reports and studies that have proved that art and music hold the potential to enhance accuracy and productivity along with improving the mood of employees.

In addition to advocating for the integration of art and music in corporate settings, Art Space Foundation will also collaborate with artists and musicians to offer customized programs, workshops, and performances tailored to the specific needs of businesses. By curating engaging artistic and musical experiences and events, the foundation aims to foster creativity, teamwork, and employee happiness, ultimately enabling corporations to reach their full potential. This will also enable the employees to pass on their legacy and learnings to their families through various art and musical forms. The idea remains to spread the learnings from corporate to civil society.
