Renukoot: India’s first 24*7 snacking destination, Daalchini Technologies kick started its operations in the Aditya Birla Group’s Hindalco plant situated at Renukoot near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh with the aim to offer 100% contactless food/snacks and cooked meals. The company will engage with as many as 7 Direct-to-Consumer brands like BRB, Priniti, Makino (Recorn Foods), Yoga Pulp, etc. in UP while offering logistics, warehousing and delivery facilities at the world’s largest aluminum rolling company.

At the Hindalco’s plant spreading over 1056-acres, multiple unmanned and digitally-enabled kiosks have been installed to provide healthy and hygienic food options, ranging from freshly cooked meals to ready-to-eat products and beverages. Considering the grim situation amid the pandemic, corporate, manufacturing setups and conglomerates have indeed been emphasizing relentlessly on sustaining hygiene within the office. Henceforth, IoT enabled ‘phygital’ (physical + digital) smart vending machines have proven to be a disruptive solution as it involves zero to nominal human intervention.

Aiming at serving 6-meals-a-day through the IoT-led ‘phygital’ vending machines, Daalchini will now enable every individual at the site to fulfil nutrition & food requirements in these uncertain times amid the pandemic. The food tech start-up reckons to expand its ambit to nearly 350+ IoT enabled vending machines in the next 6 months across UP.

Highlighting the increase in demand, Prerna Kalra, Co-founder and CEO, Daalchini Technologies stated, “Witnessing a tremendous growth trajectory in Tier 2 cities, Daalchini has added over 600 unmanned kiosks in September 2021 as compared to more than 550 and 510 kiosks in August and July 2021, respectively. Henceforth, we are optimistic to cover the key UP market, including, Meerut, Agra, Mathura, and Lucknow by offering our innovative and tech-driven services across IT companies, corporates, hospitals and educational institutes.”

Daalchini has already carved its niche in Noida, Ghaziabad and Greater Noida with its presence and has been witnessing higher consumer traction of around >80% repeat percent. Demand for products like quick bites, ready-to-eat and healthy snacks are higher in these regions of UP.
