ACCA India’s panel discussion addresses the key challenge for employers in today’s time: the ‘Great Resignation’

ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), the global body for professional accountants, recently hosted a panel discussion on ‘Attracting, Developing and Retaining talent: Roadmap for 2022 and beyond’.

The panellists discussed and shared insights on how organisations are tackling the ‘Great Resignation’ and their strategies to attract and retain talent.

The discussion helped deepen ACCA’s relationship with existing and prospective employers and also highlighted the benefits of ACCA’s online Career Navigator.

The speakers were Helen Brand, chief executive of ACCA alongside Mr. David MC Daniel, CFO of Nestle South Asia region and Executive Director & CFO of Nestle India Ltd. and Mr. S Santhanakrishnan, Managing Partner – PKF Sridhar & Santhanam LLP.

Helen Brand, chief executive, ACCA says: ‘The employability of our members is always a priority – and for us to deliver on that, we must get under the skin of what business needs from their finance professionals. Mr. David MC Daniel, CFO of Nestle South Asia region and Executive Director & CFO of Nestle India Ltd added: ‘We look for people who are intellectually curious, and have the ability to analyse and create value by challenging the status quo. The talent we have in our company is our responsibility to develop, and everyone that we take in of course has the potential to be developed.’ 

Mr S. Santhanakrishnan, Managing Partner at PKF Sridhar & Santhanam LLP says: ‘I am happy to note that the course curriculum of ACCA is dynamic and recognises the needs of the stakeholders and adequately prepares candidates for changing times.’
